Gabrielle Sprauve
Hometown:
Born in Queens, NY and raised in Savannah,GA
My movement style is:
Ballet. Holistically focused on finding air and ease within the rigor of the technique, with emphasis on an inclusive approach to the beauty of ballet.
I've moved with:
Ballet Hispanico, Traverse City Dance Project, and PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, where I have had the pleasure of working with choreographers such as Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Benny Royce Royon, Andrea Miller, and Edwaard Liang. I am a current member with Ballet Hispanico.
I share because:
Giving back is what feeds the next generation. STM's mission is important to me, because as a black dancer growing up, I always wished that I could see myself more in front of the room. I was overlooked and told I would not be able to achieve certain goals due to the color of my skin...I want to share my experiences, knowledge, and love for my art form so that the future generation can feel seen.
