Representation matters to me. I didn't see anyone who looked like me in the performing arts, nor did I have anyone encourage me to pursue it, so I assumed it wasn't a profession for me.  I share because I know I'm not alone and I don't want anyone to feel alone. I share because I know how life-changing it is to have someone really see us, encourage us and guide us in this thing called life, especially on paths that are unconventional or when the unconventional is, you.
