Kennedy George and Avan Holloway Dance for Change Scholarship

The annual Kennedy George and Ava Holloway Dance for Change Scholarship is awarded to female dancers of color ages 6-16 who have registered for a year-long dance program. This program recognizes young dancers who are changemakers in their school or community who would not otherwise be able to dance without financial assistance.

 

Priority is given to applicants who demonstrate financial need; however, we invite all who qualify to apply. This scholarship is intended to cover tuition and/or additional costs associated with dance needs (such as pointe shoes, leotards, travel expenses, etc.). This scholarship is open to U.S. residents.

Brown Girls Do Ballet - Micro Grant Program

Application Deadline: Rolling

 

The Brown Girls Do Ballet® Micro Grant Program is designed to increase access to and opportunity for education, travel, and professional tools for small dance programs and dancers year round. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and reviewed quarterly by a panel of jurors (i.e. end of March, June, September, and December). If you meet the eligibility criteria (outlined above) you may apply at any time throughout the year.  There are no deadlines or application periods.

National Young Arts Foundation

YoungArts’ signature program is an application-based award for emerging artists ages 15–18 or in grades 10–12. Selected through a blind adjudication process conducted by an independent panel of highly accomplished artists, YoungArts winners receive financial awards, creative and professional development experiences working with renowned guest artists, and become eligible for nomination as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Joining a 20,000-strong alumni community, YoungArts award winners form a rich network of peers that provides support and opportunities throughout artists’ career

The Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship provides financial assistance and promotion of Asian American college students pursuing a major in the performing, visual arts, journalism and/or mass communications.

Brown Girls Do Ballet - 2021 College Scholarship

The annual Brown Girls Do®Inc College Scholarship is a $1,000.00 scholarship awarded to full-time college undergraduate students across any field of study*. Priority will be given to a first generation student in college who demonstrates financial need however, we invite all who qualify to apply.  This scholarship is open to U.S. residents only.
