Our Mission

Our mission is to increase diversity in the professional dance community by providing financial, educational, and inspirational support

to promising young BIPOC dancers.

We strive to accomplish these goals by:

  • Offering financial assistance to promising BIPOC dancers between the ages of 11-19 who either never begin high-caliber dance training because of the costs involved or who risk having to abandon their dance training because of financial constraints.

  • Offering complimentary classes taught by professional BIPOC teachers either virtually or in-person to underserved communities who likely have not had the opportunity to experience high-caliber dance training.

  • Offering complimentary classes taught by professional BIPOC teachers either virtually or in-person to the dance community as a whole where the class genre emphasizes and celebrates the contributions of BIPOC artists to the dance world.

  • Highlighting prominent BIPOC members of the professional dance community, like those in our Share the Movement Community, in an effort to offer potential role models and potential future mentors to young BIPOC dancers.
